“ Quaint bar with laid back vibe. We had the octopus and cauliflower tapas and the lobster risotto. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and frequent enough that we did not feel like we had to work to get attention. It was a fun date night and I would stop in just for the drinks. ”

“ It's time to update the review as I feel like Tavern 157 just keeps getting better. The drinks are fire. The menu is on point. I really like sitting at the bar and getting a drink, but also give me their charcuterie board any day of the week. What makes this spot is the decor. It's quite interesting. It's almost giving medieval. The drinks are creative and delicious. The blood orange mojito and the yuzu drink (not sure what it's actually called) are my favs. I love taking friends here that I haven't seen in a minute. It's a great place to catch up or even take a date too. Come to think of it, I don't think I've had a full meal here. We only come for the drinks and the apps because the apps themself are delicious. “ This restaurant is my all time favorite. It is quiet, and food is delicious overall. I came again specific for happy hours Monday-Friday 4-7pm. Domestic beer $5, red sangria $7. The most amazing part is half a dozen oyster for $8. The oysters were really big and fresh. Buratta cheese and risotto balls(on regular menu) are delish and beautifully presented. The only nitpicking is the seafood pasta(on regular menu) that noodles were overcooked. ”

“ The restaurant was comfortable, quiet, and nicely decorated. Our server was really nice as well. However, I was already disappointed before the meal began. I was looking forward to the egg on egg on egg appetizer along with the squid ink fettuccine with lobster. I have been looking forward to this all week. I was unsure of the squid ink fettuccine as I didn't see it on the online menu, but did see it on menu photos. I didn't call ahead to ask because what I really wanted was the egg on egg on egg and was OK with not having the fettuccine. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the menu had mostly changed and those items were no longer available. Reluctantly, I ordered the oysters on a half shell with the supplemental Uni and salmon roe along with the lobster risotto. They were both delicious. The oysters were plump, firm, and fresh and the risotto was cooked to perfection. My husband was not happy with having to order the $30 Wagyu burger since there was no other option for him to choose from. (he had his heart set on the duck with foie gras, which is no longer available either. That would've been my second choice after the fettuccine.) He said the burger was pretty good, it was well cooked and the fries were delicious. We also got another order of fries on the house for the Yelp check in and a sangria on the house for a positive Google review. Overall, the food was really really good. It just wasn't what I went for. ”

“ We ordered the fish tacos which were pretty good. The octopus was a really small portion. 18 dollar for one leg. Don't think it's worth. It was good but way too small. I really enjoyed the seafood pasta. ”

“ Ordered sooo much for such a good deal! For apps we got the seafood bisque, fish tacos, crab & spinach dip, and truffle fries. The crab & spinach dip was my favorite and my family really enjoyed the truffle fries! The seafood bisque was average but it was good and the fish tacos were pretty worth it because they give a decent amount of fish! As for entrees we got the tavern157 burger which was pretty good and the squid ink pasta and braids short rib & bone marrow which were my favorite! You have to get the squid ink pasta! Loved their playing as well. Highly recommended! ”
